The Predictive Index®: A Thought Leader in Hiring Analytics
Psychometric testing for recruiting purposes may seem like a recent trend; however, it is actually a tool that has been used for many decades. Dating back to the 1940s, Arnold S. Daniels leveraged his knowledge on successful team missions from World War 2 and teamed up with a psychologist to understand what makes teams successful. By building on this project after the war, Daniels established the first rendition of the Predictive Index Behavioural Assessment. Since then, the Predictive Index has been a leader in hiring analytics with a Science Advisory Board of university professors, I/O psychologists, and other subject matter experts in psychometrics.
The Predictive Index Tackles Common Myths about Psychometric Tests

PI ASSESSMENTS: PI assessments predict job performance without any form of bias. Job predictions do not differ based on factors such as age, gender, or ethnicity.
MYTH: ALL TESTS TAKE TOO LONG AND ARE A WASTE OF TIME
PI ASSESSMENT: The PI Behavioural Assessment™ only takes approximately 6.5 minutes to complete, while the PI Cognitive Assessment takes 12 minutes. Furthermore, all assessments can be used for any job, industry, or location. Thus, candidates are able to leverage this universal test to learn about themselves during the hiring process.
MYTH: CANDIDATES FAKE RESPONSES, MAKING ANSWERS WORTHLESS
PI ASSESSMENT: The PI Behavioural Assessment is a free-choice assessment. As a result, candidates choose what applies to them and answers are neither correct or incorrect. In respect to the PI Cognitive Assessment, each assessment has a unique set of questions limiting the risk of any cheating.
